Welcome to the home of sustainability and alternatives treks in Cusco!
Join Alternative Inca Trails for an unforgettable, once in a lifetime Inca trek experience.
Alternative Inca Trails specializes in both traditional and alternative adventure trekking. We offer unique experiences to little known and less touristic places that will get you off the beaten track and experiencing the real Andes of Cusco. We challenge ourselves to excel beyond standard tourism by organizing adventure hikes and cultural experiences specifically and carefully designed for explorers. So if you have missed a spot on the Classic Inca Trail, then you have come to the right place to find some great alternative treks and cultural options (such as learning to cook Guinea Pig and Chicha preparation in Paruro Province). We also offer the Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Many of our specially designed treks are great alternatives to the Traditional Inca Trail.
Trekking in the Andes is our passion – which we would like to share with you. So we highly recommend these alternative treks to Machu Picchu. Find all the information you need to plan your trip to Peru.
We offer a wide range of alternative treks including: Salkantay, Huaran Lares, Ollanta, Ollanta Lares, Yanahuara Lares, Urubamba Lares, (all the Lares options connect to Machu Picchu), Vilcabamba, Choquequirao, Choquequirao to Machu Picchu, Ausangate, and Espirtu Pampa.
